Optician

Must have excellent customer service skills.

Responsible for working with the public in sales; selling different types of frames/lenses and  new products; adjusting, measuring and fitting eyeglasses; entering patient data; using ophthalmic equipment.

Education:  High School Diploma or GED

Experience:  Two to three years optical experience preferred.  Excellent computer skills required with the ability to use multiple software applications.

Billing/Insurance Representative

Must have excellent customer service skills.

Responsible for processing incoming patient and insurance payments; balancing daily business activities, closing out daily receipts for deposit; following up and collecting of insurance claims; maintaining and documenting correspondence with carriers; assisting and reviewing problem accounts and identifying actions to be taken; obtaining authorizations and posting for surgeries.

Education:  High School Diploma or GED

Experience:  Two years in medical office with insurance billing collections experience preferred. Excellent computer skills required with the ability to use multiple software applications.

Patient Service Representative

Must have excellent customer service skills.

Responsible for interacting with patients in person and on phones; maintaining registration and flow of incoming patients; entering patient demographics information; directing switchboard phone calls; pulling charts; making patient appointments; posting charges, receiving payments and checking out patients; verifying insurance coverage for eligibility and benefits; receiving and proofreading dictation; prior authorization for services; travelling to and from satellite locations.

Education:  High School Diploma or GED

Experience:  One year in medical office experience preferred.  Excellent computer skills required with ability to use multiple software applications.

Clinic Technician

Must have excellent customer service skills.

Responsible for interacting closely with patients; using ophthalmic testing equipment, performing tests; assisting physicians with patients throughout examinations and procedures;  travelling to and from satellite locations.

Education:  High School Diploma or GED

Experience:  One year experience in medical office preferred.  Excellent computer skills required with the ability to use multiple software applications.
